jim nabors from gomer pyle had a liver transplant and he looks healthy and gained his weight back after transplant. does steve jobs have other medical problems that prevent him from gaining weight? just curious.

he had a whipple procedure. he probably has some kind of mal absorptive problem.
and his body may have just settled on this new weight.

Sometimes when a person goes through a major surgery like a liver transplant or a procedure such as chemotherapy their metabolism can speed up or slow down.
Perhaps in Steve Jobs case, his sped up and now he burns calories at a more efficient rate therefore he isn’t as inclined to pack on the pounds.
